SAILOR on tour with Steve Harley & Cockney Rebel

Hammersmith Odeon.
(...) SAILOR were more than a support band. Playing a quaint and totally unique breed of Nickelodeon rock they wrung a definitely favourable reponse from am audience who'd come to someone else. Only a few louts persisted in shouting "Rebel", but they couldn't dissuade SAILOR from turning in a superb set built around prostitutes and pimp vignettes all about boys on shore leave.
How long the navy motify can last without becoming boring is open to question. At the moment though, SAILOR are a knockout who ought to be headlining in their own right very soon. (...)
