German Oldie magazine "Good Times":
SAILOR: GIRLS! GIRLS! GIRLS! - THE VERY BEST OF SAILOR
Captain Georg Kajanus and his SAILORs suddenly appeared in the
middle of the 70s and impressed the pop-fans (mostly in Germany)
with great sing-along melodies and a sympathic, fresh, moody live
show. Songs like "A Glass Of Champagne", "One
Drink Too Many", "Trouble In Hong Kong" and
"The Old Nickelodeon Sound" sounded completely fresh,
because SAILOR did not have any stylistic idols. And no
successors either: when their creative-battery was empty, Punk
and New Wave reacted. That's why their funny-beat sound survived
and still sounds absolutely fresh today.

November 2002 - Geoff

Please release their studio albums....
I saw SAILOR in London in the mid-70s when they were at their
height. They performed most of these songs. They were good then
and they sound just as energetic and orginal now. Quirky little
tunes, written mostly by Kajanus, and played with the famous
nickleodeons about life on the seas, in foeign cities and shores.
