"I could put my face into it..." - A concert review by Katrin Wagner:

It's 6 am when I wake up, thinking that SAILOR will play in Berlin later today and that I had decided not to go to this concert because it's too far away. The decision was absolutely sure. Or wasn't it?! The prospect of a boring day at home with the tought of missing a great concert strikes me. Also, Grant will finally be back in the band today after a serious hand-injury earlier this year that had stopped him from playing for several months. So in the end I decide to get up, grab my camera, some money, a bottle of water and my handbag and simply get into my new car to drive to Berlin.
I arrive at the huge shopping centre "Gropius Passagen" at midday and have a look around. Still more than three hours until the beginning of the show. But it's too hot to do anything, so I just stand there and wait. At least there's chocolate ice-cream within reach ;-)
Finally, the SAILOR arrive at the venue at 3.45 pm and I can say hello. SAILOR fans Wilma and Susanne also arrive a little later, and eventually we end up in front of the small stage to wait for the beginning of the concert. It's always funny to listen to the people around us who try and explain to others who SAILOR are and what this cardboard thing in front of the keyboards is that once used to be a mysterious famous instrument.
SAILOR's show starts at 4.30 pm. And in spite of the weird location and unusual time of the day it's simply marvellous. Captain Nick seems a lot more confident on stage and does a fantastic job, while Grant looks really proud and happy. It's wonderful that he's back at last! Henry has brought some new toys... a chicken (of course) and a duck to tease Phil with.
After the show SAILOR sign lots of autographs and sell CDs. While I stand there to watch and wait I start to feel really sick, so that I decide to get some fresh air and walk back to my car. I think I should drive home... But then... I haven't even said goodbye to anybody yet. So I change my mind and decide to briefly stop by at the hotel to say goodbye to the boys before I drive back.
Just when I leave the car park (it's a miracle I'm not still stuck in there to look for my car!) I see a black van next to me on the left land. Four waving SAILORs and one shouting sound engineer named Mark in it. I decide to follow them.
At the hotel I only briefly want to say goodbye to everybody. But SAILOR's plans for a look at Berlin are cancelled because it's now raining heavily. Phil invites me for a drink (thanks!) and then they all decide to go to a nice Italian restaurant which belongs to the huge hotel. And I get invited too. Thanks so much boys!
Oh, and I wouldn't have thought that Henry could really truly mean it when he says he wants to put his face into the dessert...!! ;-)
